Hi from New Orleans! I flew into NOLA on Sunday for a work conference but have managed to squeeze in some sight seeing and exploring around this gorgeous city. I think New Orleans definitely has a stigma as being a party city, and it definitely is if you visit Bourbon Street, but there truly is so much more!
WHERE TO STAY: We are staying at The Omni Royal Orleans and it is the perfect location. We are just one block over from Bourbon Street, but it feels like we're in a whole other world. The decor is beautiful and the staff are fabulous, what more could you ask for?
WHERE TO EAT: Sucre is an adorable bakery that has the most delicious looking macaroons. Above the bakery is the Salon Restaurant, and if you are a girl who adores Instagram worthy spots, you have to go here! I could have sat on the balcony sipping coffee for hours! The food is seriously delicious. Do yourself a favor and order the Croque Benedict. It was out of this world delicious! We had lunch at Peche and it did not disappoint. The fried brussels sprouts were some of the best things I have ever tasted. Obviously a trip to new Orleans wouldn't be complete without a visit to Cafe Du Monde. The Beignets are that good people!
