I am FINALLY back after a whirlwind couple of weeks In NYC and Bermuda, and then a week at home hosting our first visitors (which kept me super busy). Today, I am excited to share with you guys our quick trip to NYC. We had to fly though New York to get to Bermuda and decided to make the most of what little time we had in the city. We met up with our best friends who were joining us in Bermuda for a fun 24 hours in the city that never sleeps. P.S. I can take zero credit for this incredible itinerary. Caroline, my friend and fellow blogger at The Belle Abroad is an amazing traveler and definitely knows how to find the best spots in any city.
WHERE TO STAY: The Time New York
Just steps from Times Square and in the heart of the Theatre District is this hidden gem of a boutique hotel, The Time. The Time exudes modern sophistication and certainly knows a thing or two about hospitality. We arrived late after a long day of flying and were greeted by the friendly front desk staff who offered us great options for late night food (we were starving).
Our room was the perfect size and was impeccably decorated in a modern and minimalist style. The beds were super cozy, and I would have stayed in bed all day if it weren't for the bustling city below beckoning me to explore. Both Ben and I did take full advantage of the plush robes and enjoyed breakfast in bed. We both agreed that our absolute favorite part of the room was the hidden television in the mirror (SO COOL).
The Time was in the perfect location for our day of exploring. We were so close to Times Square and only a short 15 minute walk to Central Park. Often times finding a hotel in NYC that is conveniently located to all of the sites is the most daunting task, but a stay at The Time will leave you close to most anything you would want to visit.
Looking for delicious cocktails before a night out on the town? Located right in the lobby is the super chic LeGrande Lounge. We loved the convenience of having the option for drinks right in our hotel. We didn't do dinner at the on-site restaurant, Serafina, but I have heard it is delicious!
We had the best time in the city and couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay. This was definitely not my last trip to NYC and certainly not my last stay at The Time. I cannot wait to be back!
THE FLAT IRON BUILDING: You can't spend any time in the city without visiting the Flat Iron District! Snap a pic in front of the iconic flat iron building and then stop in at Eataly for some delicious Italian cuisine!
WASHINGTON MEWS: Caroline lives in London amongst some of the most quaint mews in the world, so it seemed only fitting that we checked out the mews in New York. Nestled in between 5th Avenue and Madison Park, the Washington Mews are a private street of homes that were formerly used as horse stables. Make sure to have your camera ready because you will definitely be snapping lots of pics of these cute and colorful homes.
SWEETS BY CHLOE: On our quest to discover the cutest spots for treats in NYC, we stumbled upon the fabulous and pink, SWEETS BY CHLOE. We both opted for a refreshing iced latte, but I can't wait to return for some of their yummy vegan treats. We went to the location in West Village thats located right beside the full service restaurant By Chloe. Definitely a must visit if you are into incredible decor, lots of pink and yummy vegan food.
THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE: I've made countless visits to NYC, but I have never actually walked the Brooklyn Bridge. It definitely lived up to the hype and 100% worth it for the amazing pictures we got + the sunset views.
